Rhode Trip

I’m continuing the New England vacation thread with Providence, Rhode Island.  After some R&R at the beach in Madison, CT, we made our way up to Providence.  We spent the day exploring downtown, Brown University, and the restaurant scene.

We began our Rhode Island adventure with donuts, at the famous PVDonuts.  If you are ever in the Providence area, stop in and treat yourself to a gourmet, ridiculously fluffy, and beautifully garnished donut.

Following the sweet food coma, we burned some of our calories by walking through the Brown University campus, before stopping at The Duck & Bunny for a light lunch.

I HIGHLY recommend eating at The Duck & Bunny if you are in this town.  Apart from the delicious food and drinks, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is super charming and unique.

We also opted for a gondola ride on the Providence River–this is a great way to see the entire city scape.

Before heading to Boston the following morning, we stopped at Sydney, for a quick breakfast bite.  This was yet another wonderful Providence eatery.

We lucked out with yet another room with a view on this trip, at the Renaissance Providence Hotel.

Stay tuned for the final thread of the New England adventure: Boston.
