Nearly a year ago I had a celebrity encounter where I did not look remotely presentable—it was one of those days when I lacked motivation to brush/style my hair, apply any makeup, and wear a “wardrobe malfunction” resistant outfit. When I imagine myself meeting a celebrity, especially when it is a celebrity crush, I envision myself all glammed up and photo ready. Ironically, my one encounter was the exact opposite. Since that moment I had made a vow to myself to always put some effort into my overall appearance. Now, putting an effort into wardrobe, makeup, etc. does not always mean dress, heels, and updo—there are endless alternatives when creating a fashionable look. Essentially, my one-minute celebrity meeting became the foundation and inspiration for this project.
