Have You Scene This? [Arizona Getaway]

While in Phoenix for a mini-vacation we had taken Ubers to all our destinations and during each of those car rides, the Uber drivers raved about Sedona and insisted that we take a day trip out there.  After hearing it over 5 times, we decided to finally take an impromptu trip to Sedona, Arizona.

The day trip to Sedona was my favorite part of our entire Arizona getaway.  I didn’t know what to expect when we arrived because we didn’t have the time to reserve a proper tour of the city or go hiking through its famous trails, but the breathtaking views were more than enough for me.

Sedona is known for having vortexes located near some of the rock formations.  I read a couple articles about the vortexes on the way there about what you are supposed to feel when being in a specific area–I didn’t really know what to anticipate.  When we arrived in Sedona, stopped by the Chamber of Commerce to get suggestions on what to see in our short time there and the lady assisting us recommended visiting the Airport Vortex first (pictured below).  Apparently, the vortex near the airport is one of the strongest and the more popular one people connect with.  I’ll be honest now, I didn’t feel any “energy” or “spiritual transformation” while near a vortex site.  Maybe it shares the whole “BELIEVE” concept that is emphasized in The Polar Express.  Or maybe I was too preoccupied taking photos of the stunning landscape to notice any shifts.

Where We Ate: Creekside Sedona

Although we were seated inside, this eatery had some of the most breathtaking views of the red rock on the outdoor patio!  Overall, wonderful brunch destination, 10/10 would recommend.
