Skin First | Makeup Second

Perfecting Skin Tint: Medium | Stretch Concealer: Light | Cloud Paint: Dusk | Haloscope: Quartz | Boy Brow: Brown

I’ve completely hopped on the Glossier bandwagon – I’m in love with the makeup product line.  If you aren’t familiar with Glossier, it is a trendy makeup and skincare brand that focuses on enhancing your natural beauty, rather than offering makeup that fully conceals and diminishes the appearance of “imperfections”.  The premise of the brand is to keep skin first, makeup second, and truly adhering to the “no makeup, makeup” style.

After reading countless positive reviews regarding several of the brand’s makeup products, I began my own Glossier adventure and purchased the staple makeup items– skin tint, concealer, cream blush, eyebrows pomade, and highlight stick.  It’s hard to pick a favorite product from the mix because in my opinion, they all have a characteristic that is unmatched by other cosmetic brands.

Cloud Paint is a creamy blush that leaves your cheeks feeling like there is no product on, but the peachy hue is subtly evident. Same goes for the Perfecting Skin Tint, Stretch Concealer, and Haloscope –  all are light and creamy, and leave a dewy finish.  The coverage is sheer so blemishes will not be completely concealed, however, the products do a fabulous job at evening out the skin tone.  I’m not typically one to tamper with my eyebrows, especially since trying to eliminate the amount of makeup I wear, but Boy Brow enhances them just enough to make them appear naturally fuller and not penciled in.

While the products are remarkable, one of my favorite parts about Glossier is that the products are designed for finger application.  Never have I tried products that blend flawlessly with finger application – it has made my morning makeup routine completely fuss-free, but most importantly, it allows me to sleep a few extra minutes.

Let’s not forget about the adorable pink bubble wrap pouch the products arrive in.  Glossier frequently features uses for the pouch from followers on Instagram. I house all my Glossier makeup in the pouch for easy access – how do you use your Glossier pink pouch?
