Casual Edge

I’ve been on the hunt for new jeans and have fallen short on several occasions.  It’s difficult finding the perfect jeans, a jean with a stellar wash and fit and to my surprise, I found what I think is the perfect pair at Target.  Jean shopping is always a task, as I tend to purchase petite sizes because of my height and most brands only offer a limited petite or short assortment, and not in all styles of denim.  Previous denim purchases at Target were more of a last resort or temporary fix, however, I think that’s changing.  I’m now a huge fan of the Universal Threads line – the collection offers Madewell vibes at traditional Target pricing, and the quality is pretty shocking (in great way!!).  Also steered clear of traditional skinny jeans this time – I have a new affinity for straight leg and cropped boot cut styles. These have easily become my go-to pair.  I’m also a sucker for a raw hem, it adds a bit of edge and is still manageable for casual Fridays at the office.

Spent the weekend in Toronto visiting family and checking off tourist attractions from the travel list.  Highlighting Casa Loma in this post because of its stunning Gothic architecture.  Highly recommend touring the castle if that kind of stuff piques your interest.  Plus, the gardens offer a remarkable view of the Toronto skyline.  City scapes are always captivating.

The remainder of the weekend was spent satisfying the always active sweet tooth.
